We are pleased to invite all District 46 staff members to apply for Foundation46 grant funds. The Fall grant cycle is now open. Grant applications for the Fall cycle may be submitted anytime through October 31st, 2024. Applications are due on a rolling basis as long as funds are available. Once submitted, every request goes through an evaluation process that generally spans 2 to 3 weeks. The process includes proposal review, financial analysis, and board discussions. The average time from proposal submission to grant award is 4 weeks.
Important Update: Applications for funding of an annual subscription should not be submitted to the foundation due to the short-term nature of these initiatives.
Which projects are likely to be funded? Grant applications are evaluated using a rubric. We prioritize funding of projects that are innovative, enriching, and reach as many students as possible. We seek to provide funding for resources that extend above and beyond what would be considered necessary and essential resources to meet curricular needs.
Wondering what makes a grant application great? Your application should paint a clear picture of what you and/or your students will be doing and how it will enhance learning.
Two types of grants are offered:
Applications will be available until October 31, 2024
Project Grant Application – projects between $500 and $1,000 (please consider whether projects of less than $500 can be managed at the building level)
